Lady on the couch, 2026
Conte on paper
18x24”
The couch recurs throughout this work because it carries no particular art-historical freight - it's just where people sit when they're not doing anything else. This figure is elongated, half-reading, half-somewhere-else. The warm line of the conté traces her without insisting on her. Some drawings are about presence; this one is about drift.
