Dandelions with blue sky, 2026
"I usually paint the dandelions as Ted's -as you might know-. But in this case, I imagined myself lying down on my belly and looking at these dandelions from a straight horizon angle rather than from above. Allowing the sky to be present rather than how it was before. I expanded the landscape to include the horizon so that we're clear that there's a flow from this little patch of dandelions up into the rest of the universe. I sort of variegated that from red to burnt umber to blue. And just to give a sort of flow of the variety"
