For the Mexica worldview, death was not an end. It was a transformation: the beginning of a sacred journey to Mictlán.
In celebration of Día de Muertos, Abisal Galería de Arte presents El Camino al Mictlán, a group exhibition bringing together diverse artistic perspectives on death, passage, and transformation.
As part of the exhibition, Ron Silver will present a selection of pages from his book The Book About the Ways to Die, displayed as large-scale framed artworks, alongside an animated version of his work.
An evening exploring the dialogue between art, death, and the many ways we imagine
what comes next.
